[jira] [Created] (AIRAVATA-819) Support the workflows with forEach
inputs to get inputs from file
Heshan Suriyaarachchi created AIRAVATA-819:
----------------------------------------------
Summary: Support the workflows with forEach inputs to get inputs from file
Key: AIRAVATA-819
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRAVATA-819
Project: Airavata
Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 0.7
Reporter: Heshan Suriyaarachchi
Fix For: 0.8
Let me explain what I've meant here.
In case of a usecase like gene sequence alignment, you might give 1000s of gene sequences as the input. In a situation like that, in the current trunk what we have to do is to have comma seperated string with the inputs. In the usecase that I mentioned. It's not that practical because a single sequence strand is having a substantial length. Therefore, I think it'll be easier for the user, if we provide a mechanisam where the user can give the input as a file and instead of the comma delimeter, we could use a "new line".
This is something which I felt needed when doing some testing with the EC2Provider.
