So, this vote is still open, and I'd be grateful for more voters.

I originally forgot my own +1.

Hm...Ok...

So we just let the tag in the history without having a real release
existing ....neither in Central etc.....

SCM is a Git project and I think we will be punished if we remove tags
there.

Search for Maven-3.2.0 ...

The above is my opinion.....

Do we have documented this kind of behaviour somewhere i couldn't
remember that we have ?

Within the release process there is nothing documented
(http://maven.apache.org/developers/release/maven-project-release-procedure.html)
for such cases (officially?) ...I think we should add something for such
cases...they are rare ....but they happen...

Further examination revealed two PR's that were already merged, and then
one that only effects testing, and two that could really use a JIRA, a test
case, or both. So, 'never mind' pulling back the vote.

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Maven SCM version 1.9.2

Posted by Benson Margulies <bi...@gmail.com>.
I would like to pull back this vote, unless someone objects. On the one
hand, the problem with the release plugin and git is already addressed in
1.9.1. On the other hand, there are some lingering pull requests, some of
which look reasonable, so it seems unkind to release without them. I'll
wait until tomorrow AM EDT; if no one disagrees, I'm going to cancel this,
and post up a vote for the release plugin using 1.9.1.

The link is wrong. Better use this one:

http://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/maven-1056/org/apache/maven/scm/maven-scm/1.9.2/maven-scm-1.9.2-source-release.zip

Site looks good..

So tested with Maven 2.2.1,

where I got the following:

[INFO] [enforcer:enforce {execution: enforce-bytecode-version}]
Downloading:
http://localhost:8081/nexus/content/groups/public/org/apache/maven/scm/maven-scm-providers-standard/1.9.2/maven-scm-providers-standard-1.9.2.pom
[INFO] Unable to find resource
'org.apache.maven.scm:maven-scm-providers-standard:pom:1.9.2' in
repository central (http://central)
[WARNING] Unable to download the artifact from any repository
Path to dependency:
	1) org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-scm-plugin:maven-plugin:1.9.2
	2) org.apache.maven.scm:maven-scm-providers-standard:pom:1.9.2

   org.apache.maven.scm:maven-scm-providers-standard:pom:1.9.2

from the specified remote repositories:
   nexus (http://localhost:8081/nexus/content/groups/public)

Is that an Maven 2.2.1 issue ? I'm not sure at the moment...It look like
Maven does not solve the dependency from the reactor....

With Maven 3.0.5, 3.1.1, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3

via

mvn clean verify

worked fine...
