   Same error, I have an image with this src: `"file:///var/containers/Bundle/Application/27131FF1-0862-4240-851F-FBDFFDDC47D4/HelloCordova.app/www/49dfd8c7f5effbcd57afcb1c060d6322.png"`
   
   When I run this code:
   
   ```js
   const image = document.getElementById("image");
   var canvas = document.getElementById("canvas");
   var ctx = canvas.getContext("2d");
   ctx.drawImage(image, 0, 0);
   ```
   
   I get this error: `SecurityError: The operation is insecure.` on call to `toDataURL`.
   
   Using UIWebview this code works.
