[~prasanth_j] _ is a valid hive identifier character while - isn't.
The issue is that if you try to do stuff with the old plan with a dash it doesn't work unless quoted idenitifiers are enabled (actually with current .g file syntax it might not work even then, we'd need to change to account for quoted identifiers)
