Calc Sheet with cells that will not accept formulas when pasted.
When I am given a working calc sheet and attempt to modify any of the cell
formula, calc considers it data and my entry shows up a data. I have tried
modifying the cell and sheet properties but so far have been unsuccessful.
Could it be a Windows 10 issue? I uninstalled and re installed Open Office.

Calc sheet provided to me by the reporter

I can modify a cell and put a formula, it works. The formula is remembered by
the cell.
There are two oddities in this document (that was converted from Excel):
1 - Most cells have style Excel Built-in Normal. In this style, numbers are
formatted in English (US) language, i.e. with a dot as decimal separator
Some cells (e.g. E10 to E16) have style Default. In this style, numbers are
formatted in the default language of the user. For me it is french, where comma
is decimal separator.
This difference means you must type numbers according to the format of each
cell, or else it will not be understood as numbers.
2 - Sheet1 contents looks very clumsy.
Cell G9 contains =SUM($E$9-$F$9) that can be simplified as =E9-F9
Cells G10 to G17 contain a value instead of a formula. The formula could be
obtained with a simple drag from cell G9.
Cells E19 to G19 contain a value instead of a formula, e.g. =SUM(E9:E18)
In the range G26:G38 there are sometimes a value, sometimes a formula.
In conclusion : WORKS FOR ME.
Perhaps a purge of your OpenOffice profile will solve your problem.
