[users@httpd] configure Apache 2.0.49 w/OpenSSL 0.9.7d

Hey all.
I'm on a Solaris Sparc 8 machine. I upgraded my openssl from 0.9.7c to
0.9.7d. All the ssl stuff went into the default /usr/local/ssl. Then I
configured Apache 4.0.49 like this:

./configure --enable-mods-shared=all --enable-so --enable-access
--enable-auth --enable-alias --enable-include --enable-ssl
--enable-vhost_alias --enable-proxy=shared --enable-proxy-connect=shared
--enable-proxy-ftp=shared --enable-proxy-http=shared --with-ssl=/usr/local/ssl

Apache made and the config.log has this line:
configure:10467: result: OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004

Then I test Apache with a simple (non-ssl) startup and the error_log has
this line in it:
[Thu Jun 17 11:11:43 2004] [info] Server: Apache/2.0.49, Interface:
mod_ssl/2.0.49, Library: OpenSSL/0.9.7b <--- !!!!!!

Notice that OpenSSL is saying that it is 7b and not 7d. I've searched the
machine for a random ssl (there was one in /usr/lib but I did a pkgrm and
removed those files and then re-installed 7d). I've tried all sorts of
tricks to get Apache to be built with 7d but so far no luck!

Any ideas?

thanks,
erin
