Reminder: online hack-a-thon
Since I'm the only JAMES committer, it seems, who will be at the hack-a-thon
at ApacheCon, how's about a virtual hack-a-thon?
Sunday (if I can find a place) and Monday (official HaT day) work for me.
Tuesday is out, since I'm teaching a tutorial.
We can use the #james IRC channel on freenode.net, and post a log to the
list later.

Ping me via skype/icq to wake me ;-)
About topics I'm working on unit tests so I've not big time slots
availble, but I'm happy to collaborate if I feel I can contribute to the
topics you will decide.

What time slots have you got in mind? Quite important because of
confusing time zones. :-)
Here in Germany we have UTC+2 (Central European Summer Time) at the
moment.
I found out that Austin, Texas is currently in UTC-5...
I'm available:
Sunday:
UTC -5 : 2:00 am - 10:30 am (okay, that is at night in Austin ;-)
UTC +2 : 9:00 - 17:30
Monday:
UTC -5 : 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
UTC +2 : 16:00 - 23:00
So monday would be fine.
Have there been any suggestions about the topic yet?
More experimental or more pragmatic?
As experimental I would suggest:
- deploying first mocked-up service (e.g. SMTP) to OSGi (for
evaluation)
- switching a service to MINA (e.g. POP3 or RemoteManager)
- future Mailbox API, but maybe I would be to biased, even if we'd
start from scratch. ;-)

We didn't have our ASF wireless available today, and the hotel's was ...
unreliable.

I'll head down to the hack-a-thon in the morning, and will be on #james as
well as the usual suspects for IM.
