Re: Books on Solr website

Hi,

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-7833 - this is a ticket created along with the updated patches to update Solr's "resources" page for Solr Cookbook - Third Edition
It would be great if someone could look into in, and update the website.

Please let me know if anything needs to be added.

Regards,

Hi Poonam,

The standard mechanism is for people to create a patch against the sources for the website, as Zico Fernandes has asked for on SOLR-7833. For that particular book, there remains the question of whether earlier editions should still be listed; a patch would include that change if it’s called for.

Each of the other books you mention should get its own issue with an attached patch.

For more information about modifying the site sources, see <https://lucene.apache.org/site-instructions.html>.

Once patches have been created, I’d be happy to assist getting them published.

By the way, I’d prefer to have these discussions in public on the project's developer mailing list dev@lucene.apache.org. More info here: <https://lucene.apache.org/solr/resources.html#mailing-lists>
