According to the Jakarta commons site. Procrun is the package to use for
windows.

yes, i know, but none of the downloads - also the older versions - does
contain a windowze .exe. I don´t have MS-VS to build it from the sources.
Has anyone succeded in building it with another compiler for windoze?

In parallel I´m trying to "misuse" the tomcat5.exe to start my service.
According to the tomcat documentation this could work, I assume.

Anyway, the documentation for commons-daemon is quite sparse :-( and I´m
not a c programmer.
