SimplePostTool details (UNCLASSIFIED)

Does the simple post tool index the contents of a document (word,txt,xls,pdf etc) that it encounters?

The simple post tool is a glorified `curl` of the file contents (unprocessed in the tool itself) to one of Solr’s endpoints…. /update/extract for rich documents like you mentioned.
