Kubernetes OODT deployment

So another idea I have for OODT deployments is to delve into Knative from
Google/Pivotal which allows users to build apps to run in a serverless
style fashion on Kubernetes. Clearly K8S is creating a massive wave in
service deployment at the moment but data apps lag behind somewhat still,
for now at least.

Instead of building some helm chart or whatever. Maybe a route we could do
is make OODT for Kubernetes where the various workload bits and pieces are
designed to run in a serverless fashion on a Kubernetes cluster. This makes
it “infinitely” scalable.

I know JPL open sourced another platform for Cloud based OODT style stuff,
although its name escapes me right now. But I doubt its based on anything
like Knative which seems to be picking up a lot of traction recently.

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the late reply. Good idea. I have some experience with KNative.
Let's see if we can come up with some architecture/plan to do this?

Cheers,
Imesha
