99% sure it's not a Tomcat problem: I've seen similar issues in the past, almost
always traced to faulty (unpatched, or patch level not up to date, or
permissions not correct, or compilation flags not correct, etc.) JDK
installations.  Please don't reopen this unless you can prove it's a Tomcat
issue and provide us with a way of reproducing the bug.  You may also want to
bring this up on the user mailing list to see if anyone can suggest other causes
for this bug.  Thanks.
