Mesos 1.7 to 1.8 upgrade, mesos-dns 0.6.0 not getting task info

Mesos-dns does not get any updates, nothing resolves, anything changed 
between mesos 1.7 and 1.8 that requires reconfig of mesos-dns?

Got this issue, fixed with v0.7.0-rc2

 Failed to fetch state.json from leader. Error:  invalid character 'N' 
after top-level valu

Looks like marathon does not have the information. Anyone experienced 
something similar?
