   ### What problem does this feature solve?
   
   - sampling feature for line series is such a great feature and reduces the rendering time a lot.
   - extending this feature to heatmap would be a great addition. Specially since heatmap charts usually have larger number of data points.
   - This will be similar to the sampling that we have in google maps where zooming will show more details of the 2D map.
   
   ### What does the proposed API look like?
