   As noted in apache/logging-log4j2#3110 and linked issues, there is a need for a tool to remove annotations from our JAR files, which are not useful for the consumers of those artifacts.

   The tool could probably reuse some code from:
   
   - [`log4j-transform-maven-plugin`](https://github.com/apache/logging-log4j-transform/tree/main/log4j-transform-maven-plugin) to process all files in the `classes` directory,
   - [`log4j-weaver`](https://github.com/apache/logging-log4j-transform/tree/main/log4j-weaver) as an example of ASM 9 usage.
