some00 opened a new issue, #11760:

In [Custom Apps How-to](https://github.com/apache/nuttx/blob/master/Documentation/guides/customapps.rst) section 2 instruction to add `CustomApps/CustomHello/Make.defs` is missing. Without it `CustomHello.c` isn't included in the build.
If you agree with me, please add that section so other newbies like me don't get confused. Thanks.
