   Worked for me! thank you so much 
   In case anyone else have problems with updating their Android Studio and Gradle versions, remove minSdkVersion from config.xml and add these to your manifest (your version may vary)
   android{
   ...
    defaultConfig {
           minSdkVersion 19
           targetSdkVersion 27 
       }
   }
