[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-6717) Remove hadoop-metrics.properties
when everything has moved over.

stack commented on HBASE-6717:
------------------------------
+1 on patch.
Looking at hadoop-metrics2-hbase.properties, I think I asked you this before but what is this about?
*.sink.file*.class=org.apache.hadoop.metrics2.sink.FileSink
# default sampling period
*.period=10
i.e. the *.sink.file*.class stuff? Ditto on the *.period? Is that some means of saying default for all sinks?
Also, what do I do if I want other than a filesink? In the old file, there was junk about ganglia setup, etc?
Is JMX always on? Do I have to do anything in here to turn it on?
