[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-14890) AMS: External mode with a non-local
HBase cluster
Siddharth Wagle created AMBARI-14890:
----------------------------------------
Summary: AMS: External mode with a non-local HBase cluster
Key: AMBARI-14890
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-14890
Project: Ambari
Issue Type: Task
Components: ambari-metrics
Affects Versions: 2.0.0
Reporter: Siddharth Wagle
Assignee: Siddharth Wagle
Priority: Critical
_Objective_:
- Support AMS external operation mode to seggregate the collection, aggregation from the storage layer
- Allow external mode to signify AMS storage to be external HBase cluster (with Phoenix enabled).
- Make sure the PHOENIX-914 query by ROW_TIMESTAMP support is enabled before supporting external storage. This optimization allows AMS to use HBase native timestamp for timeseries query.
