further actions in wsrp4j - project

Hi.

Does anybody know the further actions in wsrp4j-project ? Is there a
roadmap to a first release ? Does anybody know, when wsrp4j will leave
"incubator" status
and become a real apache project ?

Is it so easy as to ask for it? I have spent some time reading struts & other
apache lists and I thought that it was a «meritocracy», the main committers of
the project selected new committers. It would be an honour becoming committer
of this project and I think it would be good, because I'm spending next 6
months (at least) working with WSRP4J for my own project. I don't know if I'm
good enough to commit, but surely I'll spend some time fixing bugs every day.
Now all I have is a "patched WSRP4J" in my HD, not the cvs version. Please give
me some guidelines.

Regards.
Diego.

You could ask to become a committer.

I understand the situation, I'm not criticizing WSRP4J, I'm only showing its
deficiencies in an objective manner. The problem is I don't see any movement
from IBM committers (who seem to have full control over it), so no new
committer can be added. I've seen a couple of people on this list using WSRP4J
and adding entries and patches in JIRA, but none of these bugs is being
resolved. What should one do to commit changes then?

Lots of people use it, but nobody wants to work on it in public. We
don't have enough non-IBM committers to go forward with a vote to
graduate from the incubator. We need the committer community to grow so
that the project can move forward.

No, IMHO it's only a toy now. I haven't seem the IBM commercial implementation
but WSRP4J implements only a subset of the specification and has lots of bugs,
Producer Templates are not supported, Pluto is tightly coupled with WSRP4J, ...
It's good for practicing and investigating (I'm doing my master thesis using
it), but not for a production environment.

What are the experinces with wsrp4j ? Is ist yet stable enough to use it in
