XSLT 2.0

I just read an article about XSLT 2.0 and found some nice features. My
personal favorite is the integration of regular expressions, but also using
multiple modes for a template and tunneling of parameters are great.

Is there any work on Xalan-C for supporting XSLT 2.0? Who coordinates the
development?
