Annoying bugzilla default on 'add me to the CC'

Why was the bugzilla default for 'Automatically add me to the CC list of
bugs I change' changed to true? This must have changed not that long ago.
For people reading the dev list this is quite redundant. I have now changed
my preferences setting, sorry for the noise I made by removing myself from
two dozens of problem reports.

Noticed that myself -- the site default changed, apparently.

However, we can easily switch it off for the site again. And of course,
there's always the option to opt-out per user.

Would general consensus be, to have it off? I'd be happy to change it,
then.

FWIW, I found this to be a highly useful feature with most bugzillas.
It's just different (and probably annoying) in this case for anyone
reading dev. Still useful for anyone else.
