[jira] [Closed] (SOLR-6192) Adding docs from the Admin UI may not
send the doc to the right shard in Cloud mode
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-6192?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Upayavira closed SOLR-6192.
---------------------------
Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
I tried it myself, the document seemed to make it to the correct shard. I pasted a simple doc into each of my two shards, and at the end I only had one copy of it. Using distrib=false I confirmed that it was only in one of my two shards.
If a user can provide clear instructions, I'll happily investigate.

> Speculating from an exchange on the user's list. User reported that adding a document via the admin UI resulted in the document appearing twice in the results lists.
> Insuring that documents added via the admin UI are "cloud-aware" seems like a Good Thing. That said, I'm not entirely sure it's worth the effort. If we're going to make the admin screens cloud-aware in general, there are a number of changes necessary.
