feature query

I needed to unit test an EJB for i18n purposes so I wrote a couple of
extensions to JUnit that allowed Tests to write log to a Writer rather than
stdout, this is then sent back to a browser from a Servlet. Have I just
repeated something that is already implemented in Cactus or does Cactus rely
on PrintStreams also?
