[Issue 126889] New: cannot change typing direction to Right to Left

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126889

          Issue ID: 126889
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: cannot change typing direction to Right to Left
           Product: Writer
           Version: 4.1.2
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P5 (lowest)
         Component: formatting
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: mudi26@gmail.com

When typing in hebrew I need to type in a "Right to Left" mode.
In MS Word this is simply done by clicking Ctrl+Shift.
Unfortunately, in OO Writer 4.1.2 I can't do that or even find the Tools
button.
frustrating...

--- Comment #1 from Marcus <ma...@apache.org> ---
All you need to know is in the help topics. The magic term is "Complex Text
Layout" (CTL). Then you can see which needs to be enabled. Start with a search
for "Hebrew" and you will come to CTL.

Or in short:
- Enable "Tools - Optins - Language Settings - Enabled for complex Text layout
(CTL)"
- Use the two buttons in the Formatting toolbar
- Or press [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[D] for right-to-left text direction
  and [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[A] for left-to-right

HTH
