[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10420) Apache Mail servers cannot deliver mails to @oracle.com accounts

Uwe Schindler commented on INFRA-10420:
---------------------------------------

I just have to add. My own mail server can successfully deliver e-mails to their addresses. It just does not work from Apache mail servers.

> I was contacted by our Java contacts at Oracle, because since mid last week they no longer get any e-Mail from several mailing lists:
> dev@maven.apache.org
> log4j-dev@logging.apache.org
> dev@jmeter.apache.org
> builds@apache.org
> dev@ant.apache.org
> dev@tomcat.apache.org
> dev@commons.apache.org
> dev@chemistry.apache.org
> derby-dev@db.apache.org
> dev@lucene.apache.org
> log4j-dev@logging.apache.org
> dev@cxf.apache.org
> Hi, it looks like Apache Mail servers seem to have a problem with delivering e-mail to @oracle.com mail addresses. I also checked that the affected Oracle people are still subscribed on the dev@lucene.apache.org mailing lists, which they are.
> Last week I sent a mail to an Oracle employee using my @apache.org e-mail address as a CC to a post on openjdk Mailing lists (that I have subscribed using the apache.org mail address). Today this e-Mail was respnded with a mailer-daemon:
> Hi. This is the qmail-send program at apache.org.
> I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
> This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
> <XX...@oracle.com>:
> Sorry, I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1) I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.
