Does any one know if there are any issues with running these two
versions together?

Depends on your OS. I know that the current version (0.97b_1) on
FreeBSD has some issues which basically break everything using
OpenSSL. Also, I haven't been able to build any Apache 2 from ports
with OpenSSL 0.9.7.

- From what I've been reading there have been several issues on other
OS's with OpenSSL 0.9.7.

Kind Regards,
Sander Holthaus
