Patent issue with non SPARQL query front ends

I was doing some research on some other issues when I came across this
rather broad patent that seems to cover querying a SPARQL endpoint (perhaps
any RDF data store) with anything but SPARQL. Basically it seems to be a
patent on converting one query language to SPARQL they cite "an SQL query,
a query in XQUERY format, a query formatted as an HTTP request, etc."

Thought there would be some people on this list that might be interested.
