Saltstack
Hi,
Is there a way we can use Saltstack as opposed to Puppet for configuration management?

Most importantly, you have to write all puppet based cartridge
configurations in the selected CMT.

Yes we could use any Configuration Management Tool (CMT) other than Puppet.
AFAIK following things need to be considered when doing this:
- Create new template files according to the selected CMT.
- Host required binary packages either in CMT server or in a web server.
- Update initialization script in cartridge image to trigger CMT
agent/client.
