[jira] Resolved: (AXIS-2180) attachments.implementation override property not picked up in client.wsdd
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS-2180?page=all ]
Davanum Srinivas resolved AXIS-2180:
------------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Checked in a change just now that allows you to call AxisProperties.setProperty to set the implementation programatically.

> attachments.implementation override property not picked up in client.wsdd
> -------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: AXIS-2180
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS-2180
> Project: Apache Axis
> Type: Bug
> Versions: 1.2.1
> Environment: java 1.4.2
> Reporter: Paul Grillo
> Priority: Blocker
>
> Added global property in Client Config.wsdd file to override the Attachments Implementation like:
> <parameter name="attachments.implementation" value="my.AttachmentsImpl"/>
> This is not picked up and used, the default is used
> To reproduce i am using DIME (not sure it matters) and am adding attachments using org.apache.axis.client.Stub.addAttachment(object)
> Problem appears when constructing the new outgoing Message.
> line 2406 Message reqMsg = new Message( reqEnv );
> at this point the msgContext has not yet been set in the Message. However the setup() which is called when initializing Message passes the current msgContext to (line 335) isAttachmentSupportEnabled(..)
> It is here that it requires a msgContext to check for the override parameter. However, msgContext is null, so it falls back on the default AttachmentsImplementation
> Bottom line, i think is:
> At Message construction the property "attachments.implementation" is queried.
> but the msgContext for the request Message is not set/known until later in call.setRequestMessage()
