SCCI Interface/Capabilities

Hi All,

I see back in 2004 there was some talk about adding SCCI capability to svn.
I have not been able to find anything on a generic SCCI interface that would
allow something like a modeling tool to connect to svn (versus an IDE like
visual studio). Or, are there any third party plug-ins? Thanks.

There are a couple of SCC plug-ins listed on the Tigris website:
http://subversion.tigris.org/links.html - Aigenta Unified SCC and
PushOK's SVN SCC Proxy.

I looked at PushOK's plug-in a couple of months back (before deciding
that an external client (e.g. TortoiseSVN) was probably more appropriate
for our needs) and it promises
(http://www.pushok.com/soft_scc_compat.php?type=svn) to integrate with a
number of SCC-enabled applications, including Rational Rose (I didn't
test, though: my requirements were for PowerBuilder and RapidSQL
integration).

I'd recommend testing various plug-ins with your modelling tool before
committing to any one plug-in.

Cheers
John
