best practices cocoon-based webapp

Hi,

Is the chello project still the "best practice" way of building a 
cocoon-based web application. I've noticed that the chello files on 
sourceforge are quite dated (2001) and was wondering if the conventional 
wisdom has changed with regards to layout/building/etc a cocoon based app.

Any pointers to examples or docs would be helpful.
