What I can remember from that work is a CVD test switching between a simple text AE using the default view and a multi-Sofa AE using only named views. Deleting the text may have been a side effect of something else I was trying to do. Anyway, no objection to leaving the document text as is after an AE load. - Eddie

Somebody (pre-Apache, I did not investigate further) explicitly added code to delete the document text on loading an AE. I have undone that change. Since it's under the heading of Sofa views, I'm assigning my fix to Eddie to review. Thanks.
