They did ? http://www.adobe.com/openscreenproject/developers/ still

Hi everyone,

Wow, that was quick! :) I'm actually behind iflex.mx which is one of the
projects of the Open Screen Foundation I will be unveiling on Bastille day.
The foundation is pretty much taking things when the Occupy HTML5 movement
left them: ridding the World of HTML5 purism and promoting the best
technologies available to build the best experiences possible. The programs
will include:

- Open Screen Academy to build a new breed of strong cross-platform
developers with Flash, Flex and AIR through free online training;

- Open Screen Project, which you probably already heard about as it was
launched by Adobe (they abandoned the trademarks and I now own them)., The
idea here is to what Adobe is apparently not capable or willing to do, from
PR to developers advocacy and picking the fight against corporate bullying
and abuses.

- Occupy Silicon Valley: the valley is on the verge of a revolution, and I
believe the Flash community is best fit to lead such movement as we have
been on the front line of the biggest antitrust scam and corporate bullying
scandal in the history of Internet courtesy Steve Jobs. The community has
been also affected by a lot of issues that are going to fuel that
revolution: jobs offshoring, Adobe sold us to the third world under the
impulse of his CEO and chairman; underpaid labor: those jobs were replaced
in part by underpaid labor imported from Indian; anti-poaching scandal:
Adobe was part of the lawsuit, which also uncovered the real nature of
Steve Jobs (an email shown he threaten Palm'as CEO of a bogus patent attack
if he keeps refusing to participate to the illegal scheme) etc... This is a
big piece and will probably come last.

- iFlex.mx: this is all about us, with a freelancing and jobs board
platform along with a crowd-funding platform and a marketplace, all
dedicated to Flash, Flex and AIR technologies, apps and professional.

iFlex.mx shortening service will be part the that platform and will
probably come first as I will be using it to unveil Open Screen Foundation
in social media on Bastille Day.

As far as legal concerns are concerned, I do not believe there is any issue
here as indeed I will be posting statements indicating this is not part of
the Apache Foundation; it does not create any likehood of confusing; and it
is all nonprofit. The only reason I did not reach out to Apache is because
I have witnessed first hand in a previous thread how much time can be
wasted in that process with no really justification for it. Considering I
am on a mission and on my own with this, and need to be ready for 07/14, I
decided to not waste that time and let Apache legal team come after me if
they feel they have a ground for that, which I do not believe. As far as
iflex.com is concerned, same applies.

HI,

IMO (but I'm not a lawyer etc etc) but it's probably fine from an Apache Flex point of view as it:
- not using "Apache Flex" in the domain name
- not any confusion with Apache Flex trademarks, products, distribution etc

But no objection if the PMC wants to send a friendly email asking for appropriate use of Apache Flex's trademarks and logos if and when they are used.

When the site has content on it it would need to be checked again.

The people at iflex.com may have an issue with the name, but that's not really our concern :-)

If you do need an official Apache URL shortening service I'd suggest you use http://s.apache.org.
