Strange SystemTypeLoader error

Hey-o Folks,

I'm seeing a strange error when trying to run some of
my XmlBeans code. I've been using 1.0.2 and 1.0.3
and jdk1.4.2.

I have a "base" schema type with an attribute. In our
product, other groups will be extending the base
schema, and some of their elements will extend this
base type. The extended schema is compiled with the
base schema jar file, to avoid duplication.

The extention schema compiles fine, but the first call
to create an instance causes an error from the
SystemTypeLoader: code 14 (it looks like a null
pointer exception while trying to load the extention
class .xsb for the schema that extends "Changeable").

The schema that causes the problem looks like:

<xs:complexType name="Changeable">
  <xs:attribute name="changeType">
    <xs:simpleType>
      <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
        <xs:enumeration value="ADD"/>
        <xs:enumeration value="DEL"/>
        <xs:enumeration value="MOD"/>
      </xs:restriction>
    </xs:simpleType>
  </xs:attribute>
</xs:complexType>

If I change the base to look like:

    <xs:simpleType name="ChangeTypeAttr">
      <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
        <xs:enumeration value="ADD"/>
        <xs:enumeration value="DEL"/>
        <xs:enumeration value="MOD"/>
      </xs:restriction>
    </xs:simpleType>

<xs:complexType name="Changeable">
  <xs:attribute name="changeType"
type="lib:ChangeTypeAttr"/>
</xs:complexType>

then the problem goes away (it loads and works fine).

Has anybody seen this problem before? I'm working to
pair my schema down to a simple example the shows this
problem ... should I open a bug report?

Thanx for any information anybody has.

Later,
Paul

BTW: XmlBeans takes a little bit of effort to get set
up, but I love working with it over just the plain
DOM.
