we are currently using LICENSE.txt rather than LICENSE. 

Is that a problem?

<license> can point to any file, as long as it is there 8-)

It is an optional element in the Gump descriptor, but if present,
Gumpy checks it.  "traditional" Gump has never done so.

It shouldn't  LICENSE.txt and NOTICE.txt are permissible...

No, it's just that Struts' Gump descriptor didn't know that.  It's
already fixed in CVS.

No, it's just that Struts' Gump descriptor didn't know that.  It's
already fixed in CVS.
