[VOTE] Release Apache Vysper 0.5, take 2

Hi

Bernd has updated the out-of-date text files and I've uploaded a new build.

The release was built from:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/mina/sandbox/vysper/tags/0.5/

The release files are staged at:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachemina-009/

Niklas, thanks for preparing the RC, starting the vote and waiting for
me to cast the first vote.
That means a lot to me.

I have troubles right now to getting quality time to do a proper
review. Hopefully tonight CET.

I think I have narrowed down the problem. But, I will have to give up
for today and will continue tomorrow.

Reviewed and tested on Ubuntu server 9.10 + OpenJDK 1.6.1 (hope this
helps.) The release looks good to me.

Problem solved. It's a problem with the hashing in Maven 2.2.0 (works
on earlier and later versions) where files will be uploaded twice due
to a bug in HTTP auth. This causes the MD5/SHA1 hashing to be done
twice.

Anyways, I've deployed new files using Maven 2.2.1 (no source changes):
Built from:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/mina/sandbox/vysper/branches/0.5/

Binaries:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachemina-019/

This looks completely borked. And I have no idea why :-) I'm using the
Apache parent straight of to deployment. Anyways, I tried to do a
local deploy on my laptop and md5 and sha sums work out correct there.
So, I'm doing a new release to repository.apache.org to see if there's
a problem with the repository somehow.

Thanks for reconfirming.

BTW, everything else looks fine, so I'm +0 until we get this fixed.

They are. I also get:

[acabrera-md:~ 501]$ openssl md5 < vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip
907815dffc787e9cd35f5f35a1a4e64b

Something is not quite right w/ this release.

I must be stupid but...

# cat vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip.md5
686f42c9c8f3cf522d1d605d32763244

# md5sum vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip
907815dffc787e9cd35f5f35a1a4e64b vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip

but

# ls -l vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip
... 802994 24 Mär 21:14 vysper-parent-0.5-source-release.zip

matches

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachemina-009/org/apache/vysper/vysper-parent/0.5/

Same for vysper-parent-0.5.pom

I thought md5 hash calculations are idempotent?

Niklas, many many thanks for releasemanaging this (otherwise this
would be still unreleased software) and working hard on the code.
Thanks Emmanuel for the initial idea to bring this code over to MINA!
