Unable to edit using 'forms'
I'm unable to edit a page with 'forms' ?
Any idea why?

tried it on: Debian (Sarge), Slackware (Current) and Suse (9.0)

All no luck yet.
As a matter of fackt, i get weird problems when i use the latest version
of epoz or bxeng as well. Images are suddenly altered ?! i get cocoon
pipeline errors and after a refresh, the page shows again.
I'll be glad if there will be a 'stable' all-in-one download of all good
correspondoing packages.
Any ideas left?

The exception is after the note...
I'm now running xalan-2.5.0 and xercesImpl-2.6.1. I also completely
cleared the webapp from the the webapps directory. I also looked for
stray copies of xalan and xerces, but there are none within tomcat.
I've seen a funny thing, tho. Cocoon-2.1.4 uses xalan-2.5.2. I've
downloaded it twice, and both use 2.5.2...

xalan-2.5.0.jar and xercesImpl-2.6.1.jar.
The form editor still doesn't work...
I have no idea what else to try (I've also reinstalled lenya from CVS
and cocoon 2.1.4 more times than I can shake a stick at).

I looked at my CLASSPATH, and it's pointing to ANT (one I dl'd from
June of 2003. Let me take a look around. Could that be the issue?

Here's my setup:
I still can't use the form editor. I created a fresh lenya CVS and
cocoon... I still get the message 'No message
(java.lang.ClassCastException)' when I try to save changes, create a
summary within the blog. The default pub does the same thing.
The only thing I'm really running different is the version of Tomcat,
but that works great with lenya 1.2-RC2. Is there anything else I can
check? Here's my setup:

Still not working for me.
I rebuilt lenya from CVS, and I'm using Cocoon 2.1.4 (xalan 2.5.2).
Which version of cocoon are you using?

well, I have
/home/michi/build/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24-LE-jdk14/common/endorsed/
xalan-2.5.0.jar xercesImpl-2.6.1.jar xml-apis.jar
and everything works fine.

they should not be in endorsed, but in normal lib. make sure your
endorsed dir is empty

Lenya pipeline sequence documentation

As part of learning the design of Lenya, I produced documentation on
the Lenya pipeline sequencing. This might be of interest to others
so I've place two files, sequence.html and sequence.png, on the
Lenya Wike page:

xerces 2.6.2 does not work at all, neither does xalan 2.5.2. while
we figure out the details, make sure you have a setup as decribed in

Which version of lenya (and cocoon are you using. I'm having the same
(and more) problems here.
I'm using:
lenya from CVS (as of 08MAR04@0830 EST)
cocoon 2.1.4 (xalan-2.5.2/xercesImpl2.6.1)
If I use cocoon from CVS (xalan-2.6.0, xercesImpl-2.6.2) nearly
everything is broken (I can't log in as editor, and my existing
modified blog won't work at all).
Everything running on Fedora Core.
I'm confused...

No luck yet...
Still the same error: i tried both of them:
./tomcat/common/endorsed/xalan-2.6.0.jar
and in the same map is the xercesImpl.jar. (tried 2.5.0 as well) and
removed ALL other xalan versions (in webapp/lenya/WEB_INF/lib)
restarted tomcat as well.
Am i in the wrong directory? Should the name be different?
I don't know.

Yes, you are right. And indeed those various jars do not cope with each
other. BUT we found a stable constallation of xalan and xerces the last
days. I hope we will fix the builf files appropiate that Lenya uses a
defined set of xalan+xerces without copying so many versions around.
:)
What you can do for now is:
Use xalan-2.5.0 OR xalan-2.6.0 + xerces 2.6.1 and remove all other
versions.
