Forums down: SQL Error: Too many connections [1040]
Is this kind of error transient, or do we need someone on the Oracle
side to fix it?
Trying to read anything in the en forums
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/ seems to get this error:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]
Too many connections [1040]
- Shane, who does read forums (but still prefers properly threaded email
clients)

Regarding the Forum proposal: Assuming the discussion on it stays quiet, it goes to [VOTE] after midnight UTC tonight.
I suggest that a backup and transfer to the pilot version on Apache infrastructure be done at once, by someone set up to do that, although it is not possible to bring it up in place of the current service until the dots are connected.

That was me - I am able to do some admin tasks on this box.
I am not able to provide any reasonable response time on issues like
this, and I am not able to expand access to the env.
We need to look at transitioning to the Apache hosted Forum and Wiki
immediately.
Also, we will soon be losing hosting for *.services.openoffice.org
(I believe the Forum and the Wiki are the last major properties there)

I was emailed this morning - and I had to respond back that I can't be i
in a position to do anything for a few more hours, I have no keys on
this machine for logon to that server...
The sever came back for a few minutes, but just now, seems to be
throwing 'too many connections' again...

not aware of anyone else having contact information for the correct
