Actually, the OpenOffice 3.4.1 installation takes care to uninstall
3.4.0 first. It would be helpful to have more details (operating system
and what you mean exactly by "didn't update"). If you prefer to attach
screenshots, it's better to avoid it here: open a discussion on
http://forum.openoffice.org/ instead.
