Data Lost from Object Array on Client Side Response

I am using Axis 1.4 on Websphere 5.1.
    
I have a webservice that returns a response object containing array of
objects (user defined).
When I print the xml response body, I can see data being passed correctly,
however on the client side, data is completely lost.
The array sent from the web service had 2 objects. The client correctly
specified the length of array in the response object.
But data like account number, check number is just 0. Any ideas why this  is
happening.
