[Fwd: Re: Minor Errors in DRDA package]

Phillip accidentally posted this to me instead of the list.
My response will follow.

Excellent. I am sure your careful eyes will bring great value from
the moment we start, so don't worry about overhead.
The first step is to join the Derby IRC channel
irc://irc.freenode.net/#derby.

On Windows, I was using hydrairc which worked well, but the license was
kind of weird so just switched to Bersirc which is bothersome because
the user list disappears as soon as I minimize it once, so neither seems
ideal to me so far. But, both were easy to setup and connect. Someone
told me XChat comes with Linux if you use Linux.

DERBY-213 is currently in my queue behind DERBY-255, unless it gets
bumped by DERBY-246 (sigh...).
I see you on early, so how about we start with a 1 hour session at 5am
PST tomorrow and we can at least get started and you can get a feel for
how it works. Then you can do some more work on it perhaps on your own
while I finish up with DERBY-255. Hopefully no one will mind if we
monopolize the channel for that time. Others can chime in too or just
connect before they go to bed if they are interested in a transcript in
addition to our summaries to the list.

I'm using X-chat on linux (FC3) -- it works great. It's also available
for Windows (www.xchat.org), but is shareware.
