[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-15184) Transaction Log Removal on deletion of solr collection

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-15184?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17398798#comment-17398798 ]

Cassandra Targett commented on SOLR-15184:
------------------------------------------

I did a very basic test of delete behavior and with Solr's default locations (which puts the tlogs in the {{data/}} directory), the entire {{data/}} directory is deleted so it removes the {{tlog}} directory too.

I wonder if this is OS-specific in some way? Or there are customized paths in use for {{solr.home}} and/or {{solr.dataDir}}? I think we need some more details before determining what the problem might be.

> I have been dealing with tlog/ulog file build up in Solr cloud, and I have noticed that on deletion of a solr collection, the tlogs do not get removed with data directory. Is this intended behavior, or is there something I am doing incorrectly?
