Cache Contention for single object

I was wondering if it would be possible to get a better understanding of the way a cluster of ATS nodes would behave when you have a decent size cluster of ATS boxes (say a dozen). And suddenly the cluster gets flooded with requests for a single cache object. In a distributed cache configuration when objects are stored in ATS distributed cache, how many nodes in a cluster of say 12 boxes would have a copy of the cache object? Also, would traffic to the boxes be distributed more or less uniformly or would all nodes in the cluster go to a single box to get the cached object?
