Optionally, there are some read-only git repos:
http://git.apache.org/
mime4j is mirrored at https://github.com/apache/james-mime4j
If you prefer to work on git repos, you are welcome to submit patches
with git-diff, no problem.

No, mime4j is part of Apache James project and uses SVN
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/mime4j/ . Version 0.8 is
unreleased yet so it's 'trunk'.
Give it a try and send us back your results.
