xsl:value-of with disable-output-escaping="yes"

<xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="'Kiernan, Caitl&iacute;n 
R.'"/>

results in

Kiernan, CaitlĂn R.  (including a strange unicode problem)
rather than
Kiernan, Caitlí­n R.

with fairly recent CVS. If it takes more than this to duplicate, I'll supply 
all.
