h1. Committers Guide To Requesting Access

* If you are a Lucene/Solr Committer interested in helping to maintain this Solr Reference Guide you need first [Create a CWIKI Account|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/login.action?os_destination=%2Fdashboard.action].
* Once you have an account, please email your Confluence account name to the PMC (private@lucene) requesting Confluence edit permissions.
* if you are a Lucene/Solr PMC member, and you are willing to volunteer to [help maintain CWIKI|INFRA:Cwiki#Cwiki-CwikiStandardGroups] (notably: managing groups of users) please mention in your jira email that you are willing to be a "confluence admin"

h1. PMC Admins Guide To Granting Access

* All committers who volunteer should be added to the [solr-committers|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/admin/users/domembersofgroupsearch.action?membersOfGroupTerm=solr-committers] confluence group (which had edit permissions for the solr space)
* All volunteers who are also PMC members should be also added to the [solr-admins|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/admin/users/domembersofgroupsearch.action?membersOfGroupTerm=solr-admins] confluence group (which also has "space admin" permissions for the solr space)
* Volunteers who are PMC members who are also volunteering to be "confluence admins" should be also added to the [confluence-administrators|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/admin/users/domembersofgroupsearch.action?membersOfGroupTerm=confluence-administrators] group

h1. What Groups Have What ACLs

* Anonymous: View, Export Pages, Export Space
* confluence-users: same as Anonymous + Add Comments
* solr-committers: All read/write/restrict access for Pages, Blogs, and Comments
* solr-admins: same as solr-committers + Space administration commands
* confluence-administrators: total unfettered control of confluence
