Module Options

What are the options for modules and descriptors (hivemodule.xml)? The
way I understand it is you put the hivemodule.xml in your jars META-INF
folder, or have one hivemodule.xml for your whole web app. Is this the
only two options, I don't know if I'm understanding it correctly. I'm
building a web app using HiveMind.
