[~reschke], this seems like something that we can include, wdyt? Btw, I'm not sure what [_ESCAPE_CHAR|https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit/blob/trunk/jackrabbit-jcr-commons/src/main/java/org/apache/jackrabbit/util/Text.java#L539] is referring to.

Btw, [~anagarwa] we probably should update {{jackrabbit-jcr-tests/.../Text#escapeIllegalXpathSearchChars}} as well.
