Irina Easterling created AMBARI-11140:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Could not access to Falcon Web UI with the 'falcon' user name when simple authentication is set up
                 Key: AMBARI-11140
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-11140
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-web
            Reporter: Irina Easterling
            Priority: Critical

Could not access to Falcon Web UI with the 'falcon' user name when simple authentication is set up. It is required to enter the password.

1.Login to the Ambari web interface: http://<Master1>:8081
2. Select 'Falcon' service from Dashboard
3. Select 'Falcon Web UI' from Quick Links
4. Enter into username field: falcon

Review Falcon configuration:
1. Select Falcon from Dashboard
2. Select Config tab
3. Expend 'Falcon startup.properties'

*.falcon.authentication.type = simple
*.falcon.http.authentication.type = simple

According to Apache/Falcon doc:
Pseudo/Simple Authentication
Falcon authenticates the user by simply trusting the value of the query string parameter 'user.name'. This is the default mode Falcon is configured with.
